UNITED NATIONS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME in MOLDOVAand the MINISTRY OF ECOLOGY and NATURAL RESOURCESVacancy AnnouncementProject “Integrated and Sustainable Land Management through Community Based Approach”Project Manager and Administrative AssistantFull-time jobThrough a GEF grant the Government will be assisted to formulate in a 6 months period a medium-size project (MSP) document. The overall development goal of the MSP will be to promote sustainable land management towards improved use of natural resources through: (i) policy mainstreaming and advocacy; (ii) strengthened national capacity for policy formulation and efficient decision-making; (iii) incorporation of sustainable land management practice into the droughts’ abatement systems (iv) demonstration of sustainable land management practices. Requirements for applicants:For both posts: Knowledge of Sustainable Human Development principles. Experience in implementing technical assistance environmental projects. At least five years of experience in working within a national agency, either governmental or non-governmental. Experience in cooperating with international institutions. Good computer skills. For the post of Project Manager: Minimum Masters Degree in the field of environment protection and management, sustainable human development or related. Excellent managerial skills. At least 5 years of experience in development cooperation. Working experience with the national governmental and non-governmental institutions involved in land management/conservation. Very good managerial capabilities - ability to analyze, draft plans and reports, solve problems, organizational skills. Excellent knowledge of Romanian and fluency in written and spoken EnglishFor the post of Project Assistant: University degree. Practical skills in administrative operations, budgeting, and accounting. Excellent time-management, organizational and inter-personal skills.
