Java/J2EE Developer for USA
Expertise in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) using UML and Java. Should have extensive knowledge and implementation experience of GOF design patterns.
Experience is developing Java/J2EE applications using agile software development principles
Proficiency in Java programming
Good understanding of enterprise architectural patterns including J2EE design patterns
Proficiency in J2EE platform technologies such as: Java Server Pages (JSP), Servlets, JDBC, JAAS
Knowledge of service oriented architecture (SOA) principles with experience in developing web services using SOAP, WSDL, JWSDP and Apache Axis
Experience in XML and related technologies such as JAXP, JAXB, XPath, XML schema
Solid experience in developing web applications using Spring Framework
Good understanding of Object Relational Mapping (O/R) concepts with implementation experience using Hibernate
Experience in open source testing frameworks such as: JUnit, HttpUnit, jWebUnit
Experience with developing web 2.0 applications using AJAX and JavaScript toolkits such as Prototype, YUI, GWT and Scriptaculous
Experience in developing J2EE applications on Tomcat
Good understanding of RDBMS concepts and development experience in Oracle, PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
Responsibilities
Will be involved in all stages of development including planning, implementation, testing, documentation and release; work to debug and implement new changes to systems as they are prioritized by clients and internal staff.
Participate in multiple projects with changing requirements; maintain contact with clients to provide support or updates to projects as deliverables are met.
Be willing to get outside one's comfort zone in dealing with new technologies, standards and applications; be willing to become master of the domain of clinical trial informatics, bioinformatics and open-source technologies.
Work well with others; this applies to all the players in the IT project spectrum from fellow developers to support staff to the client. This can apply to stakeholders who will work with you both on-site and off.
