Canadian Grand Prix, not dead yet

SUZUKA, Japan -- The Canadian Grand Prix isn't dead yet according to a report out of the Forumla One's last race in Japan this weekend.AFP, a news agency, is reporting that F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has asked the Federation International de L'Automobile for a two week delay before coming up with a final schedule for the 2004 season.Ecclestone is trying to have an 18-race season instead of 17 so that Montreal can keep its event. But he has to convince the drivers and their teams to accept an extra race. The Montreal race had been dropped from the calendar because of Canada's anti-tobacco advertising law, which came into full effect this month. It is not clear yet, how Ecclestone would get around his objection to that law and allow a Montreal race without tobacco ads on some cars
