Merit Scholarships Continued for 2006-07$7,000 per year for qualified international (F-1) studentsMarch 2006 Towson University, a member of the University System ofMaryland in the United States, is pleased to continue a meritscholarship program for new undergraduate international students. Thescholarships are for students who demonstrate a strong record ofacademic achievement and proficient English skills.Towson's scholarship program will enable newly enrolled internationalstudents to receive a substantial reduction in their tuition costs andare renewable annually for the duration of their degree program.Qualifications:1. Cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or equivalent when convertedto the US 4-point scale.2. Minimum TOEFL score of 550/213/77; IELTS score of 6 or SAT- Verbalscore of 500.* (*Native English speakers and transfer students with agrade "B" or better in college-level English composition from a nativeEnglish-speaking school are exempt from the TOEFL requirement.)3.
